Lisbon
After paying a visit to Carlos, our friendly Peniche harbourmaster, and paying him a reasonable amount for the nights berthing, off we went to Lisbon to spend a few days at Oeiras marina.
This is another nice marina, similar to that at Douro in so far as the daily bread rolls are provided and help is offered if you need it. And it isn’t too eye-wateringly expensive either.
Lisbon can be reached in 20 minutes from here by local train. And when there, as anyone who has been to Lisbon knows. the place is foot-achingly full of places to see.
So… rather than offer this up in words, here’s a few photos of our few days in Oeiras and Lisbon:
Oh dear, I was hoping for words on Lisbon…I’ll be there for only one full day next month…any suggestions as to what I really have to see?
Happy you both look so happy!

Don’t bother with the bus tours, but do one of the trams, they are great and take you up and down street you wouldn’t get to on a bus. Worth a visit to the Time Out Market. Go in the Santa Justa Lift, it’s a bit of a gimmick and we had to queue for 40 minutes, we had tickets with our Yellow Bus tour. You can walk up another way without going in the lift but it was fun. The lift is free, you have to pay if you want to go right up to the very top!
